What is the Lantern Festival?

The Lunar New Year is the beginning of a calendar year whose months are coordinated by the cycles of the moon. It is a traditional festival which lasts 15 days, on the last day, it is the Lantern Festival, the final celebration, a time to remind each other about the importance of reunion by eating rice balls.

For 15 days from late January to the middle of February, China, Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, and many of the Asian countries celebrate the Lunar New Year as a national holiday. The dates of the celebration are similar because many countries in Asia interpret the lunar calendar the same way.

2022 is going to be a FANTASTIC year!

The year of the Tiger starts from Feb 1, 2022 and ends on Jan 31, 2023. The Tiger is a symbol of strength, exorcising evils, and braveness. It has inspired imagination, stories, paintings, and poetry in countless eras of Asian countries.

We look forward to celebrating all of the good fortunes that will be coming to us this upcoming year!!
